Enquiries and bookings

We use your name, contact details, message and travel preferences to answer your enquiry and take steps towards or perform a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Booking enquiries also require address details, party information and accommodation or cruise choices. Required fields are marked; we cannot process an enquiry without them. Please do not enter medical or other sensitive information in free-text fields. We do not use enquiries for advertising.

We keep enquiries as necessary for handling them and any agreements, disputes or legal obligations, reviewing what is needed after completion. Fiscal records are generally retained for seven years as required by law. Temporary form details stay only in your browser tab until it is closed or the form is submitted. Reusable contact details expire after at most 24 hours.

Cookies and statistics

Necessary storage supports the website: rm-locale remembers your language for up to one year; temporary form storage keeps your progress. CMS login cookies are for staff only. Local storage rm-statistics-consent records your statistics choice, time and version for up to 180 days. These functions do not require consent.

Only with your consent do we load Google Analytics 4 and set _ga and _ga_‹ID› cookies for up to 180 days, without automatic renewal. We measure pages, traffic sources, browser/device, country/region and interactions including scrolling, contact clicks, enquiry steps and completed enquiries. Google processes a cookie ID and technical visit information. Google states that Analytics does not store IP addresses; they are used on receipt for purposes including approximate location.

We do not send form contents, names, email or postal addresses, travel dates, guest or booking references or URL parameters to Analytics. The CMS, guest portal, documents and payment routes are excluded. Google Signals, advertising personalisation, User-ID and optional data sharing are disabled. GA4 user and event data are kept for two months without resetting on new activity. Aggregated reports may remain available longer.

Consent is voluntary (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)); declining does not affect the website. Use Cookie choice in the footer to change or withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal stops measurement and removes Analytics cookies without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Service providers and transfers

Our systems process technical information such as IP address, requested page, time and browser information to deliver and secure the website and diagnose faults. This serves our legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Technical log retention is determined by log rotation and, where an incident occurs, the handling needed for that incident.

Authorised staff and providers of hosting, website management and security process information for their tasks. With consent, Google processes statistics under its data processing terms. Data may be processed outside the EEA, including in the United States. Google's safeguards include the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses where needed. Read how Google uses information and its transfer safeguards. Search Console provides Google search-performance information without placing cookies or scripts on your device.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent. Email us; we normally reply within one month and may request appropriate identification. Legal retention duties may limit deletion. You can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. We do not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.
